Team Philippines survived elimination in the Netflix global competition Physical: 100: Asia after a dramatic buzzer-beater win led by Lara Lorraine Liwanag and Robyn Lauren Brown, eliminating Team Thailand and keeping the Filipino squad alive in the series.

In the deciding women’s match of Episode 5, Liwanag, a CrossFit athlete, and Brown, a national hurdler and SEA Games gold medalist, faced Thailand’s Jar Uracha Teerawanitsan and Ploy Nuannaree Olsen.

Both sides battled evenly until the final moments. With six seconds remaining, Liwanag powered forward, dragging both Thai athletes toward the Philippine side as Brown provided crucial balance and support. When the buzzer sounded, Team Philippines secured a 2–1 victory — a clutch performance that highlighted true Pinay Power.

The win eliminated Team Thailand and pushed the Filipinos into the next phase of the competition. Earlier in the series, Mark “Mugen” Striegl and Justin “The Jeepney” Coveney delivered early points, while Manny Pacquiao and Ray Jefferson Querubin fell short in their rounds.

Following Pacquiao’s exit due to prior commitments, CrossFit athlete Justin Hernandez joined the roster as the team faced powerhouse squads from Australia, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, and Turkey.

Liwanag and Brown continued their partnership in the representative round of Episodes 6 finishing third on their heat against Australia and Korea.

With their chemistry and courage under pressure, Lara Liwanag and Robyn Brown have become the faces of Pinay Power in Physical: 100: Asia, representing the grit, teamwork, and pride of Filipino athletes worldwide.
